BatNight FAQS

Are individual reservations required for BatNight?

No. BatNight is a first-come, first-served event. Groups of 10 or more are required to make reservations.

Are group reservations required for BatNight?

Yes. Groups of 10 or more are required to make reservations. Reservations start early and are completely filled for the 2017 event. Please contact us about bringing your group for a guided to tour at another time.

Where do I park on BatNight?

Parking for BatNight will be located at the corner of Modjeska Canyon Road and Santiago Canyon Road. OC Sherriff Explorers will direct visitor parking.

Will there be a shuttle bus to take me to the event?

Several shuttles will carry visitors to and from the event.

Is accessible parking available at the Sanctuary?

Yes. A limited number of stalls are available at the Sanctuary for vehicles with placards.

Can I bring my pet?

No. Sorry, pets cannot attend.

What age group of children is this event suited for?

Batnight is a fun family event that is suited best to children 4-10. Strollers are welcome but will be difficult to shuttle and move around the trails and activities.

Can I bring my children to the 8:15 bat program?

No. The post event program is designed with adult guests in mind and not suitable for visitors under 15 years old. The topic is research and academic in nature and the talk includes a walk over rough terrain in the dark.

Can I attend the post program and not Batnight?

Yes. Please arrive early to secure parking and a shuttle ride to the event.

What is the cost of BatNight?

BatNight tickets are $6 per person. Children under 4 years old are free. 

Can I volunteer for BatNight?
